Microsoft Word For Mac Files Not Appearing
So I had all my office files before I installed MS Office 2011, and after I installed office, the file thumbnails did not change from a blank page to a.docx,.pptx., or.xlsx icon, BUT my old.doc files display the correct thumbnail. Acdsee mac pro 4 review. In Office 2010, click on File Options to bring up the Word Options dialog box. (In Office 2007, click on the Office Orb, then Options.) (In Office 2007, click on the Office Orb, then Options.) In the left-hand column, select Save.
Step 1: Change the font in the Office for Mac file. Open the Word document, Excel workbook, or the PowerPoint presentation. For Word or PowerPoint, on the Edit menu, click Select All. For Excel, click the box above the first row of cells to select all cells. Select a different font. If you can now see the text, there is a problem with the original font.
In both the user/my templates and workgroup templates folders, if you create sub folders and put templates in them, they should show up as category/tabs when you go to create a document from “my templates.” The Word default templates that come with word are somewhere else altogether, as you discussed in this thread. I have never removed them but it is my understanding that, with the PC version of Word at least, you can “uninstall” them or tell word not to include them as you’re installing Word. Though it sounds as if deleting them after the fact works just as well. Let me add a little extra knowledge to this discussion. Like the Windows version you can change the file locations in Mac Office. However, in the 2016 version the icon only shows up on the Word preferences pane, but any changes affect Excel and Powerpoint too.
I tried all of the solutions suggested on this thread but unfortunately none of them solved it for me. I got a hint from one of my Google searches that there may be a problem with one of my Outlook files, so I ran the Outlook repair procedure (Start/Control Panel/Programs/Programs and Features then scroll down to – in my case – Microsoft Office Professional Plus, right click, then click on Change, slight wait while Setup prepares, then click on Repair) This takes a few minutes, but when it had finished and after a system restart everything was back to normal! So, don’t give up, there usually a fix somewhere! • Jo Says: Thanks!
Select the location where your important Word documents were lost and click Scan button. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac will start immediately a quick scan as well as a deep scan on your selected disk volume. Meanwhile, the scanning results will be presented in the left pane. By Path and Type, you can quickly filter the Word files you've lost earlier. Select the target files and click Recover Now button to get them back at once.
Subsequently, we received larger (24-inch) monitors. When using MS Word 2007, we made the dicovery that the on-screen view (and printed version) of a document page is not necessarily the same view (and printed version) that another user will see when viewing (or printing) the same page. For example, my page 19 may be another’s page 22. My layout looks great on-screen (and printed); another user’s layout (page endings, etc.) is different and not what we want. What is the source of this problem? How do we fix this so that we can ensure that what we see is what others will see when we distribute our documents?
My template is gone from the folder and when I open a new Excel file, my preferred formatting isn’t there. I tried creating a new template (Book.xltx) and saving it in the correct folder, but when I open Excel, the formatting still isn’t there. Interestingly, when I just “double click” on the “Book.xltx” file in Finder, it opens with the correct formatting.
Internet calendars can be shared in Outlook as an HTML email with an iCalendar file attachment. Right-click your calendar in the Folder pane, hover your mouse over 'Share' and then click 'Email Calendar.' Click 'Change' to modify one of your calendar's subscription settings or click 'Remove' to delete your connected Internet calendar. Click on the 'Internet Calendars' tab to view your Internet Calendar data. Share Your Calendar via Email To email your calendar, click 'Calendar.'
That said, this article was part of a blog that is no longer online, though I’ve left this page up out of courtesy for folks who may be Googling how to hack Opentype support in legacy software. If you’re in need of additional support I’d recommend checking out the Word troubleshooting page over at Microsoft HQ.
I've attached a pic of what I am trying to explain. I've tried changing the default app of.docx files to Text Edit and back to Word, but that doesn't change anything. I've tried saving a new blank document to see if new files will display the correct thumbnail, but that does not work either. Does anybody know what I can do?
